Our Foundation makes grants from the Beulah Drake Fund to qualified individuals, private organizations, and public agencies for projects that increase, enhance, or promote fish and wildlife resources in Oregon.

Unless invited by us to apply for a larger amount, the maximum annual grant award is $5,000 per year per project.  The Foundation welcomes multi-year project proposals.  Funding of approved multi-year grants is yearly and contingent on the submission of all required reports and information.

The Foundation reviews and approves grant applications every two months.

Eligibility for funding is based on meeting the following requirements:

  1. Be a qualified individual, private organization or public agency
  2. Submission of a paper and electronic copy of our completed project application with the following attached:
     - A project budget showing an equivelant match in cash and/or in-kind support,
     - A project description as requested in the application and,
     - A statement of support from a ODFW or USFWS biologist.
  3. Submission of a post-project report, within a year of funding, that includes the following:
     - Copies of two press releases crediting the Foundation
     - Copies of any media articles about the project
     - Photos of the project in development and at completion

Project applications meeting the following additional criteria are given extra consideration:

  • Applicant shows that the proposed project supports an Oregon Conservation habitat or species
  • Applicant's project is within or adjacent to an Opportunity Strategy Area
